We enjoyed everything from the ambiance to the food. Obviously frequented by locals, because everyone seemed to know each other. Our waitress made great recommendations. Our only issue was the rude people at the nearby table with their phone on fullblast talking to people on their speaker phone. This is an fine dining restaurant, I expect people to take that outside. Please be considerate

The food was good, I recommend the garlic bread and the butternut squash soup. The salad was mediocre, nothing special. The service was good except that the waitress wanted to start removing some of the plates while some party members were still eating. I had to ask her to wait until everyone was done eating before cleaning up the table. I would recommend for the service practices to be revamped. Guests need time to eat without being disturbed.

Delicious food and great service. We went for a special occasion and were very pleased with the quality and presentation of the food and the outstanding service. It was great that they had several seafood options.

We always start our meal with Oyster Rockefeller, this time it tasted like there was basil in the cream. I wasn't crazy about that but it was still good. I ordered the night special of scallops in creamy basil pasta and my husband ordered the crab crusted salmon. Both dishes were excellent and we were excited to order something other than the tuna, which is our normal. Our server was excellent and we enjoy sitting outside especially during the fall temperatures.

Loved our meal! The butternut squash soup was unique and delicious! I got the penne special and it was good. My husband said his steak was just okay. But still giving it 5 stars overall it was a good experience. The service was great. Kept our waters full. It was my birthday but I didn't tell them. I did see others get birthday dessert with a candle in it. I was too stuffed to request that! Will be back!

While visiting Abingdon, VA, we went to dinner at 'Rain.' The food was excellent and the service without compare. We had a group of 10 for dinner and the waiter did an excellent job with our drink orders, appetizers, and of course our entrees. He was pleasant, and informative. The atmosphere was elegant with tablecloths and linen napkins. There was plenty of space between tables and we had wonderful dinner conversation. The steaks, I ordered the filet mignon au poivre, were good to our preferred temperature and my wife had the cobia, which she said was excellent. It was a lovely evening with friends, good food, and drinks. Our meal was about $80 for two with drinks. Follow me on Yelp for more to see and do while you are out.

Delicious meal. Husband had ribeye with fried potatoes and spinach chips and I had the salmon Rockefeller with potatoes and asparagus. All were perfectly seasoned. And the meal started with a fresh salad with what tasted like homemade dressing. Our server was great too. Loved the decor and the option to eat on the patio. Will definitely be back again when we are in this area.

Blackened ribeye covered in blue cheese sauce, not a fan. Everything else was outstanding. The Staff is friendly and welcoming.
